Joe Fili

Joe Fili is an owner and founder of Trades Connect. He started in the residential service industry during his time at Loyola Blakefield by starting a landscaping company. Eventually, he went on to earn his bachelor's degree at Washington College where he received his undergraduate degree, which included a minor in economics. From there, he decided to attend and earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

During his time at law school, his passion for business and helping the consumer was a driving force. He focused on civil advocacy, business formation, and entrepreneurship. In his last year of law school, he was selected as a finalist in the University of Baltimore's Rise to the Challenge Business Pitch Competition for Aspiring Business Ventures.

After graduating from law school, Joseph practiced as a business attorney until an opportunity presented itself to start an electrical contracting company in South Florida. Within six months, he was able to help the company to establish itself in the whole-house generator and swimming pool equipment installation markets. He wore multiple hats from field technician to office administrator.

More recently, Joe started his electrical apprenticeship program at Harford County Electrical Contractors Association where he finished his first year at the top of his class. In addition, Joseph is a recipient of the 2022 Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation Scholarship, where he has been selected for his pursuit and advocacy of innovation and quality education in construction.
